M2L Furniture - M2L Catalogs Win 2012 Good Design Award
"Fresh, Modern, Iconic" Design Reflects M2L’s Philosophy

(New York, NY — January 2013) M2L is proud to announce that the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have awarded the M2L Catalogs, 2011-2012 a prestigious and globally recognized 2012 GOOD DESIGN™ Award. With art direction and graphic design provided by Giona Maiarelli and Louise Lassen of the graphic design and communication firm Maiarelli Studio, the M2L Catalogs were recognized for their excellence in the Graphics, Identity and Packaging category, joining the ranks of globally influential companies such as BMW, Dell and Starbucks.

The M2L Catalogs were conceived as an ongoing series to showcase M2L‘s fresh, modern design solutions. The clean, sophisticated design reflects the elegance of the furniture it presents, and ties in perfectly with M2L's mantra: fresh, iconic, and modern. Each issue features a different, subtle pearlized color for the cover, neatly embellished with the M2L logotype in the bottom corner: a blind emboss with tone on tone varnish. The catalogs are designed to be collected and timeless, much like the furniture they feature on the pages within.

GOOD DESIGN™ was founded in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., and continues to be the world's most prestigious, recognized, and oldest Design Awards program. For the 2012 edition, award recipients were selected by a jury of prominent architects and designers who received several thousand submissions from over 38 countries. The winners will be published in the GOOD DESIGN™ Yearbook 2012-2013.
