M2L Travels for Design

Leading furniture brands are now mining 20th-century design history, reimagining archival treasures and unearthing lesser-known pieces poised for rediscovery.

At this June’s Salone del Mobile fair in Milan, Le Mura designed by Mario Bellini in 1972 was among other exciting returns. Le Mura was inspired by the stones used to build
ancient Roman walls. Tacchini rediscovers this precious project and reissues it, respecting the original design by highlighting the vocation to comfort.

Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign, returned with a city-wide showcase of innovative designs, design classics and the latest launches. It’s here we discovered Joe Colombo's 1960s Basket concept, a rattan departure for the famous futurist. The series has been revived by Gubi in two-and three-seat sofas, as well as lounge chairs.
