M2L Furniture - M2L Parts Ways with Cassina

(New York, NY – November 2011) M2L regretfully announces that, effective immediately, it will no longer distribute Cassina products in the North American market. According to M2L president and founder, Michael Manes, “This decision was a difficult one to make. We have sold Cassina products for the past 20 years – primarily from our DC showroom in Cady’s Alley. We felt that the company’s recent production and distribution decisions have made it impossible to continue our relationship. At M2L, we are rigorously focused on genuine design. In order to make that guarantee to our clients, we are vigilant about the standards that we expect from the brands that we represent. In our opinion, Cassina’s recent move to outsource production undermines the value of the Made-in-Italy brand.”

M2L, which has never distributed Cassina in New York and Boston markets, will focus on the robust family of top-tier brands in its fresh and expansive product portfolio. In addition to industry leaders like Walter Knoll, Artifort, E15, Montis and Classicon, most recently M2L has signed on with Artek, Tecno and Galotti.

Manes continues, “Our mission is to look ahead and continue to work with partners that have the same level of commitment to excellence, transparency and iconic designs that have made M2L successful for the past twenty years.”
