Ten Years HOUDINI

In his search for an ergonomic, organic seating shell without involving expensive tooling Stefan Diez was inspired to apply techniques used for the construction of wooden gliders and airplanes. The result is an original silhouette, couture inspired construction and color palette including neon red that have since made HOUDINI a design classic, and an identifiable icon for e15.

In a new palette celebrating HOUDINI’s ground breaking form, e15 art director Farah Ebrahimi communicates Diez’s imaginative spirit and the unique nature of their collaborative friendship through color. A sophisticated mix of metallic and melodramatic tones evocative of a make-up artist’s palette is combined with a spark of exuberant colors.
