Collection: ANDREI MUNTEANU

Born 1964 in Bucharest, Romania. Studies Phisics and Industrial Design. Colaborates with various companies in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Various Awards, like the IMM Innovation Award 2003. Born and educated in Romania, I focussed first on natural sciences. I found my artistic identity trying to link various influences: italian designof the 60’s and 70’s, New Wave, japanese architecture, primitive art. The more intensive way of expression remains my main goal. I see design as a genre of art. With a serious difference: the medium of this art is an object, which needs to be used, to be industrialy produced and commercialized. I see the target of my work in creating objects that achieve an enrichment of the respective product genre.
