Milan Design Week is just a few days away! The design event of every year, Salone del Mobile, and its surrounding off-site exhibitions promise to be particularly thrilling this year. It can be hard to know where to start with this dizzying array of extraordinary design, so here's our insider guide of what not to miss in Milan.
MONTIS & BYBORRE COLLABORATION
Montis and BYBORRE are joining forces at Milan Design Week. At the historic Castello Sforzesco, they will be making a case for a sustainable, transparent production chain. Come and explore a variety of Montis designs dressed up in BYBORRE’s cutting-edge knitted fabrics and allow yourself to get inspired by The Elephant in the Room.
You can attend The Elephant in the Room – Let’s Talk About It exhibition from April 17 - 23 at Castello Sforzesco, Milan (close to Cadorna metro station). Opening hours are 10AM - 5:30PM.
CLASSICON PRESENTS NEW DESIGNS BY SEBASTIAN HERKER AND CHRISTIAN HAAS
sides highlights from the collection, the ClassiCon exhibition stand will feature new furniture and lighting designs by, among others, Sebastian Herkner and Christian Haas. Furthermore, iconic rug designs by the Irish designer Eileen Gray will be presented in a new material quality, some designs also in new sizes. You won’t want to miss this!

E15 PRESENTS NEW DESIGNS BY DAVID CHIPPERFIELD

GUBI PRESENTS WORLDS BEYOND BOUNDARIES
For Milan Design Week 2023, GUBI takes over the iconic Bagni Misteriosi to stage an immersive sensory spectacle. GUBI SALONE 2023 brings together cutting-edge contemporary creativity with timeless icons of 20th-century design.
This exhibition is far from a conventional design showcase; this is not somewhere to ‘look and leave’, but a series of spaces in which to linger and enjoy. Across the diverse settings of the baths, different zones tell distinctive style stories.

BOLD VISIONS BY ARTIFORT
Taking Bold Visions as its theme, Artifort is launching two new sofa programs during Salone del Mobile in Milan: Track by Norm Architects and Arris by Artifort Design Group. Next to the sofa introductions, Artifort is very excited to introduce a beautiful Mid-Century Modern icon from renowned designer Pierre Paulin: Moulin Lounge.

TACCHINI PRESENTS WHO IS COMING FOR DINNER?
For design week 2023, Tacchini reimagines the Dining Room as a space for a new way of living all about hospitality, vivacity, and celebration. New launches include chairs, tables and consoles. The protagonists are two historical re-editions by architect Tobia Scarpa, the Sempronia Chair and the Dialogo Chair, together with the Orpheus family of Tables and Consoles designed by Studio Binocle. In addition, Tacchini will feature new designs by EWE, Salem van der Swaagh, Brian Thoreen, Umberto Bellardi-Ricci, and Studiopepe.

USM x THE SKATEROOM PRESENT THE ARTIST CLAUDIA COMTE IN LANGUAGE OF SHAPES
Swiss design icon USM is teaming up with social entrepreneur THE SKATEROOM to create change at this year’s Milan Design Week. They invited renowned Swiss artist Claudia Comte to design a limited collection of USM modular furniture and skateboard art editions featuring her intriguing artwork. The bespoke collection will fund a substantial amount for a social project in Jordan, bringing skateboarding and education to underprivileged children through the non-profit organization Seven Hills.
