Amanita

The AMANITA side table combines contemporary clarity with a surprising sense of familiarity. It’s down to the natural elegance of its mushroom-like form. The table top and the upper section of the foot are both made of solid wood, with an open-pore, matt lacquered finish. This makes for a subtle contrast to the same-coloured high-gloss finish of the lower section. The subdued sheen of the foot complements the visual unity of the horizontal and vertical surfaces perfectly. With a range of colours to choose from, it’s easy to give AMANITA a personal touch. The table comes in two sizes with different diameters and heights, making it even more practical and versatile as an accessory. AMANITA works well in living spaces but also in offices and hotels. A side table that breathes life into any setting.

His sense for aesthetics is characterised by a harmony of sobriety, usefulness, emotionality, durability and uniqueness. With his studio, the industrial designer works for international brands such as Rosenthal, Arita2016 and Tecta, as well as for selected design galleries. Over the course of the years, Christian Haas’ work has been honoured with several awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award and the Elle Decoration International Design Award. His most remarkable work includes the Ropes edition of lamps, which is part of the permanent collection of the Vitra Design Museum. The comprehensive furniture series for the Japanese manufacturer Karimoku New Standard and some of the most successful series of dishes, among others for Villeroy & Boch, can be added to his success. Christian Haas lives and works in Porto, Portugal.
