TWIST: NEIL’S EVOLUTION. Gritty, versatile, vibrant, yet at the same time an icon of essentiality, in perfect harmony with MDF Italia’s style. These are the main features of Neil armchair, that today comes in a brand new version: Neil twist Armchair, whose eloquent name makes us sense that the manually braided rope is the project’s protagonist, with a key detail - the contrasting internal cross-stitch - that adds character to the overall view. But surprises do not end there for what represents the development of Neil armchair: in fact it is proposed in rope with four different colours, with base in white or lead black round steel wire; with or without armrest.

In this version, Jean Marie Massaud’s chair is highly versatile: it can actually be used both indoors and outdoors, where its neutral or very bright colours will be outstanding in parks and private gardens, meeting places, hotels and public spaces.

SHELL AND BASE

Load-bearing seating structure made of steel, woven with high-tenacity polyester cord, solution-dyed, guaranteeing high resistance to atmospheric agents, light, and abrasions, with stretch resistance. Sled-base made of steel rod. All Neil Twist seat models have a stitching detail in a contrasting colour in glossy anthracite.
The frames are powder painted in matt white and lead black with a specific treatment for outdoor use.

ACCESSORIES

Protective rain cover specifically for outdoor products, in light gray colour, waterproof, made of 100% polyester, outside with acrylic coating, inside with acrylic resin coating. Its characteristics are emphasised by its fully fungicidal Teflon finish. Each rain cover comes with a closable bag, so that it can be folded and kept correctly when not in use.

Jean Marie Massaud

Jean Marie Massaud graduated at ENSCI in 1990 (National Institute of Industrial Design); after his first intuitions, he longed for synthesis, reduction and lightness. His interest concerned various aspects of design: from furniture to industrial products and accessories.

In 2000 he opened the studio Massaud and started to extend his activity to architecture and development strategy. He worked in the most varied sectors, from B&B Italia, Axor Hansgrohe, Lancome, to Renault.

With his creations he aims to shape man and the surrounding environment. This unlimited inventor is committed, also politically, and tries to turn any project into an experience of life and economic scenery where desire and responsibility come together.
