Maverick Chair

Familiar, but surprisingly modern product range MAVERICK kicks in. Especially the flared legs give this chair a special twist. In some way this model reminds us of the good old kitchen chair from earlier days, and just that mental click gives it its special charm, for designer Birgit Hoffmann had been able to translate the archetype into a modern up to date form play. 

Chair with solid metal frame. With or without armrests. Armrest available in three versions:

  • Upholstered and covered
  • Fixed upholstered pad inside, outside veneer
  • Veneer


Seat shell made of moulded and laminated plywood. upholstered and covered. Plastic gliders - felt gliders optional.

Designer

Birgit Hoffmann (* 1968) studied industrial design in Kiel after training as a ceramist. Subsequently, she worked at Studio & Partners in Milan and between 2000 and 2006 as Senior Designer at Peter Maly Design in Hamburg. In 2006 she founded her own office specializing in furniture design and interior design in Hamburg. Its customers include renowned furniture manufacturers such as Rolf Benz and Leolux, as well as the Swiss upholstered furniture manufacturer de Sede. In 2011, she joined Hansjörg Helweg and supports him in founding the Frei Frau brand as Art Director.
