The Pipo Chair is conceived as a wooden surface that integrates armchairs and seat from the same material. The idea is to create a monolithic piece from one material that opens in the outside and stretches in the center.
The way you can see through the armchairs gesture evokes a simple movement that lets light pass through it. Using technology to produce the chair with a conscious use of materials was our main goal for this piece. The chair is made out of two sheets of plywood. Composed of 29 main curved sections that are cut into two or three pieces overlapped, making it very efficient in the use of material. Water base coat.
Piegatto is an integral concept that joins architecture, art and design through the use of Parametric Design. In 2006 we decided that we needed a shift in ourapproach to design trough technology. Without knowing exactly where this would take us, we nvested in CNC technology. This affected instantly in the way we used materials for ourprojects. Exactitude, new ways to approach a solution, quality and great solutions arepresented to our clients in architecture, art and furniture.
